The Office of Legislative is the only office mandated to draft the laws for the Government of the Independent State Of Papua New Guinea. We are responsible for the revision, consolidation, publication and distribution of all Papua New Guinea Laws, through the Office of the Commissioner Revised Laws.

The Office of Legislative Counsel also drafts all Statutory Instruments such a Regulations, Proclamations and Declarations, Oaths of Office and other Statutory Instruments that have been given the force of law.
